A Sonnet on the Clash of Kohli and Gambhir

Two cricketing greats of India met

Upon the field where they once played as one

But now they faced each other with regret

And anger that could not be overcome.

They argued over words and deeds that passed

Between their teams in a tense IPL match

They let their egos cloud their judgment fast

And made a spectacle of their mismatch.

They shook hands but not with cordial grace

They looked each other in the eye with scorn

They left the ground without a trace of peace

They left the fans and pundits all forlorn.

Oh, how I wish they could have been more wise

And shown some sportsmanship and compromise.
