A Clash of Titans

Two titans of Indian cricket,

Clashed on the field of play.

Over some words and gestures,

That sparked a fiery fray.

One was the captain of RCB,

The other was the mentor of LSG.

Both were fierce competitors,

Both had a lot to say.

It started with a young pacer,

Who sledged the RCB skipper.

Who gave it back in equal measure,

And made the situation bitter.

Then came a veteran spinner,

Who tried to calm things down.

But ended up in a verbal spat,

With his former India teammate and crown.

The match was a thriller,

RCB won by 18 runs.

But the drama was not over yet,

As the post-match storm begun.

The mentor approached the captain,

As he was chatting with a batter.

He pulled him away from the scene,

And made the matter hotter.

.

The captain was not pleased,

He confronted the mentor head on.

They exchanged some heated words,

They looked ready to move on.

.

But then they came face to face again,

At the presentation ceremony.

They shook hands but not with grace,

They showed no signs of harmony.

.

The clash of titans made headlines,

The fans and experts had their views.

Some blamed one, some blamed the other,

Some said both were wrong to lose their cool.

.

The bosses of LSG held a meeting,

To sort out the issue and clear the air.

They said it was an ego clash,

They said it was not fair.

.

The clash of titans may be over

But the memories will remain

Will they bury the hatchet and move on?

Or will they clash again?
