The darkness swirls around in my mind,
the demons seducing and holding my heart,
with hopelessness I look to find
a new beginning, a new way to start.
The sunlight drives away the living blackness,
The new day brings with it a sliver of optimism.
A rainbow on the horizon brings peace to my chaos,
And courage to climb out of this chasm.
The colour fades the day approaches the night,
But tonight, I vow to hold in my heart the light of day.
I lay and bathe in the shining moonlight,
And let her glow keep the rage at bay.
