Roots And Branches
Grounded by the weight of expectation and illusion
Rooted in the sense that clarity resolves confusion
Branching out beyond my reach of limited understanding
Pruning away the pain and strife when it is too demanding
Developing the best in me, regrowth through propagation
Reaching beyond self to attain a truer celebration
Surrounded by the ones I need to establish a foundation
Partnering with loved ones to overcome frustration
Encouraged to excel and live a life of fascination
Guided by the past to move in a new direction
Becoming all I’m meant to be, living with exclamation
Standing firm because I had the best holding me to a greater expectation
