A single raindrop hesitates
As it dribbles down the sill
The wind whistles winters form and fate
Giving way to her frosty will
Halting all forward motion, encased in a silvery sleeve
Holding fall in place to wish on frosted clover
Dancing on thin ice, in the rustling of leaves
Teeth chatter as her stiffened prisoner, whispers to her lover
Drips of light break through the pines
Casting spotlights on the fallen
Crunching twigs of trees that have gladly resigned
But live on and will not be forgotten
Recycled for nest and burrows in their hibernation
Holding off the bite of winter’s frigid frost
Silence carries her melodious sounds as vibrations
Tap, falling like dreams into the glass

Another great poem introducing the start of the winter season. I could see the drip freezing. Good job.
Great
"Teeth chatter as her stiffened prisoner, whispers to her lover" Oooo, that was my favourite line. Loved your poem!
