The Bubble Bath
Just me, my thoughts, and the bubbles around me
Fragrances of chamomile and lavender
Soothing and tranquil
drift through the room
The sloosh of the water
As I let the faucet run
waiting for that perfect temperature
waiting
As bubbles form
then mountains of foam
So many bubbles!
So much foam!
What an amusing delight!
I ease myself between the bubbles
Fragranced with chamomile and lavender
Nestling into a pillowy light bed of foam
and absorb the rising steam
My body and mind
comforted by water - a perfect steamy hot
Nothing exists at the moment
Just me and my thoughts
and the bubbles around me
I let my thoughts drift
just like the mounds of foam that drift by
The water has cooled
the mountains of foam nearly dissolved
I reach for my towel
My bath is over
