The Brave Little Firefly
A Sweet Children's Poem about Overcoming Fear

In the meadow, as the sun went down,
A brave little firefly came to town.
Her wings a-flutter, her light aglow,
A world of wonder, she was ready to show.
But as the darkness grew, she felt afraid,
A world of shadows, a scary parade.
She trembled and shook, her light grew dim,
A world of fear, that was hard to win.
But then she remembered, a lesson so wise,
A world of courage, that was hard to disguise.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath,
A world of strength, that was hard to bereft.
And as she opened her eyes once more,
A world of bravery, that she couldn't ignore.
She spread her wings and took to flight,
A world of adventure, that was pure delight.
Her light shone bright, as she flew around,
A world of joy, that was easy to be found.
She danced and twirled, without any care,
A world of freedom, that was hard to compare.
And as the night went on, she knew,
A world of possibilities, that was all so true.
For even in darkness, there's light to be seen,
A world of hope, that's always serene.
So let us be brave, like the firefly,
A world of potential, that's hard to deny.
For in each of us, there's a spark of light,
A world of courage, that's always in sight.
