The Little Seed

In the ground, the little seed lay,

A world of darkness, without any say.

But deep inside, a spark of light,

A world of hope, that's always in sight.

With time and patience, the seed grew strong,

A world of strength, that's hard to go wrong.

Its roots stretched deep, its leaves unfurled,

A world of growth, that's hard to be curled.

The sun shone down, with warmth and light,

A world of energy, that's hard to fight.

The rain fell soft, with drops so pure,

A world of nourishment, that's always sure.

The little seed, now a mighty tree,

A world of beauty, for all to see.

Its branches reach, its leaves so green,

A world of wonder, that's hard to be seen.

Its bark so rough, its trunk so tall,

A world of power, that's hard to fall.

Its roots so deep, its grip so strong,

A world of stability, that's hard to be wronged.

And in its shade, the children play,

A world of joy, that's hard to betray.

They climb its branches, they laugh and sing,

A world of friendship, that's hard to be ending.
