Then as the spring to summer converts,
The markets flooded with brand new shirts.
A purple one attracted my eye,
And to buy that one, I told all sorts of lies.
It was quite pretty, what the mannequin bear
But too ugly it looked, when I did a wear.
Then I realized I could not wear the purple either
But there was a shade which I still could wear
It was the earthy blue……………
Then the trees became naked,
The season began to fade.
Soon summer became belated,
And came the season of drier shades.
The purple, yellow and the orange had made me depressed
Of the wrong choices I made,
And to provide myself a little comfort
I decided to buy a new shirt.
I bought some shirts of mundane shades,
Shades of ash and the lonely grey.
Perhaps I wouldn’t wear it, I had a doubt
It was too common -to stand out in a crowd!
Then I realized I could not wear
The sad little shades of ash and grey.
