The beach on a summer day

It can definitely be a treat

Find me with toes buried in golden sand;

The very place where deep blue oceans hail.

White foam waves add salt to season the land;

Heat oils my bronze skin like the holy grail .

The sun just sparkles to the naked eye,

Often a dazzle or shimmer of light.

White clouds frame the cerulean blue sky,

Sea shells move with the wind ever so slight.

But Seagulls screech as they cruise through the air,

Disturb the peace with their choking call sound.

Humid air feels like a sauna to bear;

The smell of seaweed becomes more profound.

As long as air fills lungs and blood fills veins ,

The body lives on free from all known chains .
