A shadow falls, the night grows cold,

In sleep’s embrace, fears take hold.

The mind’s dark corners come to play,

In a world where light fades away.

Faces twist, voices scream,

Lost within a troubled dream.

The ground gives way, I start to fall,

Endless echoes in a silent hall.

Chasing shadows, running blind,

Seeking peace I cannot find.

Monsters hide in every turn,

In this maze where nightmares burn.

But dawn’s soft light begins to break,

A gentle touch, I start to wake.
