The Assassination of My Heart
You kissed my lips, then drew the knife,
a silent killer cloaked in light.
I never saw the twist begin,
just felt the breaking from within—
a crime so cruel, so clean, so swift,
my love erased without a rift.
You left no blood, no shattered glass,
just echoes where your laughter passed.
Your whispers burned, your hands betrayed,
and in their warmth, my heart was slayed.
Not with a shot, nor with a blade,
but with the love you let decay.
And though the world will never know,
no trial calls, no gavel falls,
the wind still hums a quiet woe,
a requiem inside these walls.
For love that lived and died in vain,
a ghost that lingers in my veins.
