There's quiet beauty in surrender

There is a quiet beauty in surrender,

in loosening the grip on what once felt essential—

the weight of expectations, the echoes of doubt,

the stories we tell ourselves about who we should be.

To release is not to lose,

but to make space for what is waiting.

Like autumn leaves untethered from their branches,

drifting softly, without regret,

into the open hands of the earth.

There is a peace in stepping back,

in trusting the river to carry you forward,

in knowing that what is meant to stay will stay,

and what is meant to leave was never yours to hold.

Breathe in,

breathe out.

The world is still turning.

And you—

lighter, freer—

are finally learning to dance.
