The ART of BALANCE.⚖️

……⚖️

By Marvelous MichaelPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

We were never made to be gods.

Not sculpted in marble, flawless and unmoving.

But molded from dust,

from breath,

Into sandstone cracking.

*

We are born into the rhythm of rise and fall,

of shifting tides and turning seasons,

of days that bloom golden

and nights that whisper ruin.

*

There is no such thing as always.

No endless joy, no eternal sorrow,

no single state of being to hold onto forever.

Life tips and tilts, a pendulum in motion,

swaying between chaos and calm,

between certainty and the unknown.

*

Balance is not stillness, it is movement,

the dance between what was and what will be,

the acceptance that we hold both light and shadow,

coexisting not as enemies,

but as truth…

of what we are,

of what will be.

*

You will walk roads paved in gold

and roads carved from stone.

You will taste sweetness,

and you will choke on bitterness.

You will hold love in your hands,

and you will know the ache of its absence.

You will be whole, and you will break,

and you will piece yourself back together,

again and again and again.

*

This is the pattern.

This is the design.

Not perfection, not permanence…

but balance.

*

And in the middle of it all,

where the scales tip and the world shifts,

you will find yourself,

not as something to be fixed,

but as something to be held.

*

The art of balance in you and me

keeps us moving,

keeps us from being pushed too far,

keeps us from slipping beyond the scale of life.
