Oh how to be so alive as in that moment
The space between my racing heart
The skipped record scratch on four
So alive in mind and body whole
No soul could ever ask for more
Oh what can capture that flickering flame
Between my eyes locked on yours
The static spark of new desire
Growing brighter with each glance o’er
Living on in ever-present lore
Oh tell me how to live so again
My mind has once more trapped me
In that second my breath caught bold
But now that then has passed away
And unearthed this old fools gold
Oh promise me something, don’t say you can’t
This spark will come twice too
I’ll find again that moment anew
Alive in bright, eternal seconds
That can’t burn out for any but you
