That first night

Alien Encounter

By Ronia MathewsPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Once upon a starry night so bright,

An alien ship descended with light.

I stood there, filled with awe and glee,

As I welcomed this visitor from the galaxy.

Their ship was silver, sleek, and grand,

An extraterrestrial from a distant land.

As the hatch opened with a hiss and a hum,

I thought, "What's the first thing to introduce to them?"

I chose a gift, a symbol of our grace,

A smile on my face as I held up a vase.

It shimmered with colors, a work of art,

A token of Earth's creative heart.

The alien emerged, tentacles and all,

Their eyes wide, they began to enthral.

I offered the vase with a friendly grin,

Hoping they'd see the beauty within.

They took it gently, a sense of delight,

Their eyes reflecting the starry night.

Their tentacles traced the patterns so fine,

As we stood there, a moment frozen in time.

A bond was formed, a bridge of connection,

Through art and beauty, a shared affection.

As we gazed at the vase, a universal theme,

In that moment, we lived a beautiful dream.

So remember, when meeting the unknown,

With kindness and beauty, seeds are sown.

No matter how different, we all can relate,

In the language of love, it's never too late.
