Tame the Raging Bull
Inspirational Poem
This is for Mikeydred's Truly July challenge. Do check it out the requirements here.
The middle of the year, namely July, is a time for celebration. For those who are unaware, people have more fun during this time of the year than we think. And since I'm Taurean, I'm drawn to bulls, specifically when they run.
I'm discussing the Running of the Bulls, or Enceirro, held during the Feista de St Fermi in Pamplona, Spain. If you're of a touristy mind, you'd want to avoid the streets of Pamplona in the morning from July 6 to 14 (presently ongoing). The festival honors St. Fermin, a co-patron saint of Navarre. The festival, as it did in medieval times, showcases available livestock for sale. It also includes bullfighting and trading events.
The bull goes through quite a bit to make such events a success, and is not merely a creature in a China Shop. We can draw a few lessons from this stoic, resilient, albeit impulsive creature.
We want the bull's strength, courage, resilience, and groundedness. Here are 3 Haikus to the hardy bull.
Hardy creature fights
To keep its form, with its might
Voluminous strength
Tough bull of bravery
Never fails to stop running
Form stoic and strong
Bull with feet on ground
Aware of situations
Tough form sure and real.

I detest bullfighting - it is torture to the bull no matter what the spaniards or whoever say. I am glad you showcased his courage without mentioning the stabbing bullfighter.
I think bullfighting is disgusting but your words are wonderful and great for the challeng
I can never witness anything like that 🥺
