The format I have chosen is a villanelle, I don't know if that will be acceptable.

Come Closer Now, And I Will Show You My Christmas Tree
With Its Baubles And Tinsel And Its Needles So Green
"Take Me To Your Leader" Were The Words It Said To Me

The Extraterrestrial Stared, From Its Eyes Light Streamed
The Christmas Tree Was Something It Could Never Believe
Just Wait A Minute Now, I Got Something You Must See

Then It Saw More, The Christmas Presents Beneath The Tree
Shiny Silver Wrapping Paper, In The Light, Did Gleam

Alien Fascination For The Pleasures Earthly
It Reached Out To Touch, Its Own Christmas Present Retrieved
Just Wait A Minute Now, I Got Something You Must See

With All That I Had Shown It, The Alien Thankfully
Showed Me Gratitude With A Gift That Did Glow And Gleam
