Take me back

Way on back

To my childhood

When life was really good

When life was pure

When it was funny to be immature

Back when I sat on Grandma’s lap

Way back when I wore Grandpa’s cap

When I was young enough to play

Before, I had a bunch of bills to pay

When Mama would tuck you into bed

And Dad would hold you over his head

Take me back

Way on back

    Nice dose of nostalgia!

  • I wouldn't really wanna return to my childhood but I wish I can go back to when I was 22. Loved your poem!
