performance poetry
Performance Poetry is poetry out loud; poems brought from the page to the stage.
M.I.L.F.
MILF. Mmmmiiiillllff. That's a compliment right? But a cougar... A predator of male flesh, powerful and hungry. Hungering, hankering, hampering, hindered. Well, god forbid an older woman appreciates the same embodiment of the male form that she did when she was younger. Because while we may change, what's to say our preferences do? Proclivity. Penchants. Tastes. What we find palatable, savory, sinfully delicious. So if we're seeking it out it's demeaning, but if it's supposed, imposed... thrust upon us, then it's acceptable and desired? The feat of the conqueror. The onus of a quest, a hunt, domination. Labeling of who is the hunter and who is the prey. Who runs the world. Our leaders, the top of the pyramid, defining how we see the world, how we see ourselves.

Little Girls: Remember When
Remember the good old days when we were blind. In our own little bubble blocked away from any trouble. Not all of us had the luxury of staying in that bubble, and it was popped too early by traumatic events, but we can still remember a time when there was all smiles. Sure there are still smiles now, but they don't come as easy, or they do and they just don't last that long.
