Confessing on Lafayette Street
Letting it all go here

i feel like no other author out there is talking
about their personal trials and tribulations the way that i am
i could be wrong, but
i ain’t saying these bestselling writers can’t do it, i really haven’t seen it
they drift away from it
doin’ it later down the line in their careers
i do my shit differently by starting off with a bang
i give you every concrete detail, i don’t put a filter on anything
i give names and locations, you name it
i do it
they don’t call me savage writer for nothing
i ain’t using substitutes or falsities
everything is raw and uncut,
i’m upfront with my audience during the entire process
trust me, the way i put shit together is insane
my writing could be a sign that i’m a sociopath
there’s a Charles Manson in all of us, i ain’t gone do nothing too wild tho’
i know my head is loose, picture everyone around you
reminding you of how it hangs
somehow, i was loose enough to turn my craziness into an occupation
who would’ve thought that i could make my ducats from talking shit about
people who caused me some kind of suffering?
who would’ve thought that i could reach entire countries overnight while living in Newark?
i contradicted myself multiple times, i admit that too
one minute, i talk forgiveness
the next, i’m raging out
it usually depends on how i feel the day i write something,
which is like every day now
if i feel like unleashing the savage on em,’
that’s what i’m gonna do
if i feel like soothin’ their hearts, then i’ll do that too
artists’ styles are formed through the experiences they go through
for me, it’s an unpredictable one
i talk wildly both formally and informally
i learned both sides of the trade
just to interweave both styles
i learned all the rules of grammar
just to break them all at once
i learned how to leverage emotion and logic just to give you the emotion
with cherries of logic on top
