Performance Poetry is poetry out loud; poems brought from the page to the stage.
(Intro) You've always come to me for advice. On how you're feeling and about your life. Well I've got something new to say.

(Intro) We all get scared. We all get angry. We all get sad. But it won't change anything. We all get scared. We all try to fix our wrongs.
(Chorus) Things change. People change. Life goes on. But life is strange. People come. And people go. So we know that they need yes they need time to grow.
(Chorus) Demons hide in the empty rooms of my head. Where memories once used to live. They tracked me down. And trapped me in, the corners I hid.
(Chorus) How could you say it's nothing personal? Don't take it personal... You lied to me. To everyone. And yourself.
(Chorus) Oh it's cold in here. In your house of ice. I know you have a hard time. Being nice. I know you struggle sometimes.
(Chorus) You're a raging river. In a raging storm. You tell us that you care. And then you slam the door. No one knows what to do.
(Verse 1) What can I do to make it go away? Anger is a black hole that I can't escape. Cosmic fire. Light is the one thing that I desire.
(Verse 1) Poor man bent over gold. He didn't know what he was missing, when he didn't go back home. Made his way to the bar.
(Verse 1) Little girl grew up on her own. Momma was gone. And Daddy worked for too long. She became a mother. To her sisters and brothers.
(Intro/chorus) Why should it matter to me? When I don't have a son or a daughter waiting on me .Why should it matter to me?
If I sit alone... Then I will. But understand if that be the case then I choose to also stand alone. Walk at my own pace.
