Deja Vu
Do you get Deja Vu when I talk about you? Do your ears burn? Your heart hurt? Many of the greats have sang and sought to explain the emotional anomaly that is Deja Vu... comparing it to the pains of heartbreak & the ghosts that all live rent free in everything that reminds us of YOU. Who? Anyone whose impacted our psyche past the frontal lobe... deep into the Semantics, the logic, the invaded place where we begin to build a life that you fit into almost like its a matter of fact that you fell into me, meant to be.

EARSPLITTING
Splintering pain shattering my skull from the inside out. Pangs of pain spreading through my brain not unlike the Earth's core, hot, fuming ready to release all of its secrets. Pressure building, emotions fueling a fire deep within, steam breaking the seal, quaking, gears grinding, skull splitting.

Assuage
Today I'm Angry. My therapist would be so proud. I'm not an angry person, my defaults typically land me somewhere between Sad & Grief-Stricken. But she's been encouraging me to lean into the Anger of it all. Sounds like weird advice maybe, but to the deeply Depressed sometimes we need a little flame to spark our fire back up, fuel the parts of ourselves we thought we lost long ago.

You drank to numb yourself out from your own mind & thoughts. I drank for all the ones you shared. The ones that slipped through your lousy, loosened filter. The ones the drink decided were fine to be set free. Or maybe it's because of the drink, the filter could no longer prevent the thoughts from pouring out.

Addiction . Top Story - February 2024.
I'M SORRY my depression consumed us. I'm even more sorry yours didn't. If it had we could have been over a lot sooner. Not that I wanted an end at all. But because that's where we ended up anyways, we might as well have saved us a lot of time. People talk about cherishing or focusing on the good stuff... and let me tell yah, having been outside the good stuff for a while I really wish none of it ever happened. This isn't usual for me. I like to think I'm rather the optimist. But with you babe, I spent all my optimism. This isn't to say I didn't have a blast, feel love more intensely then ever imaginable... that's the issue really. I believed you were my one, my soulmate, twinflame, kindred spirit, partner in crime, better half, companion, lover, any other names I'm missing? Someone I've been with in many lives before this one maybe... (I don't know if I believe that sort of thing anymore, but with you I did.)
