Something I wrote almost three years ago now. Still these words ring true. Recovery really does take years to master. I am still recovering now. I am working on myself and my mental health. I'm learning, growing and evolving every day. Recovery is always worth it. You are worth it. Don't ever forget that.

It Can't Rain All The Time
Shadows creep in. Cold fear mingles with warm anguish. Tears stain the pillowcase, and I feel small. I feel so utterly alone. My limbs ache from the beating, newborn bruises shoot adrenaline through my system and I wail and nobody hears me. Nobody is listening for me. Nobody else would come to save me.
