I didn’t jump into life, I was pushed I didn’t fight to stay for the hope of a better fate Only to have everything taken away that I ever wanted

Its one of those days, gray, the colors of fall gone. The wind is starting to pick up, causing the leaves to dance down the path before me.

Calm myself with thoughts of Where the opposite would lead. Quicksand of a feeling, So just lay back and breath. Like riding on a mountain, Made up of waves at sea, By rising off the summit And simply letting be.
We are not called to shine Because we are full of light, But because we live in a world So full of dark places. We are not here to love Because we feel no spite, But because of all we lack That giving love replaces.
Today I will live, Because tomorrow I may forget. Today I will be kind, For all the times I haven't yet. Baseball's a game of failure: Some coach said the other day, Espousing how it teaches Kids to fail and yet to stay.
I see something shining in the distance A spark or a flash, perhaps an explosion. A man asks questions of the world In a song, really of himself, not trying To make a statement on it all, just Wondering aloud.
All humanity an ocean and have you heard this song? Can you recognize a tune that changes every time because everyone who has breathed has breathed a tune like this and felt the flow in some part?
No one told you it would be this hard. That it would suck the soul right out of you. That you would struggle and fall and break over and over again.
