fact or fiction
Is it fact or merely fiction? Fact or Fiction explores the myths and beliefs we hold about what makes a good poem and the poetry rules that were made to be broken.
Left Overs
Left Overs Christmas was over. The house was quiet, heavy with the kind of silence that comes after too much has been felt. Plates were stacked in the sink, half-empty bowls left where they had been used, crumbs scattered across the table. The tree leaned slightly to one side, its needles drifting slowly to the floor.

The Beyond Coalition
Researchist of the Beyond Coalition: Where being already welcome is a personal promise and the entry form. Smell the air, something has a leak, over twin peaks, made it through, then grabbed you, and stole all the good, good vibes in your view. Indebted, profits off your back-breaking dread, till you’re dead, when you taste it, you can’t hide the sick. You’re born to lose, laws trick you to choose to over soothe. Laws lie; you watch rising prices, only consistent in the booze aisle. No hope, might as well grab the dope, just choose your van life in the Walmart lot, or fade away, always heading the fast food line.

Dear Younger Me, I Didn’t Betray You
Dear Younger Me, I Didn’t Betray You I’m writing to you from a place you once dreamed of but could not imagine clearly. Not because you lacked vision, but because you were busy surviving. I know you thought the future would arrive like a rescue—loud, obvious, triumphant. I’m sorry it didn’t. I’m sorry it came quietly, carrying both relief and loss. But listen to me carefully now: I did not abandon you. I carried you until I could finally rest.
