Survivor

I’ll fight until the day I can’t

By Diane LunaPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

If only you heard the person deep inside of me

Crying out for help

But no one is listening

Calling out your name

But you can’t hear me

Begging for your help

As you turn the other way

Tearing at my flesh

Fighting to live another day

Chained to a way of living

Imprisoned to my very core

Sadness overwhelming

My heavy heart is such a chore

Broken from a broken home

A never - ending cycle of violence

Fate sealed since the moment I was born

They said I wouldn’t make it

Victim, I say survivor

A Warrior

Until the day I die
