The hurricane tossed

Our fragile lives, and then the

Sun, and life, returned.

O Lacy, there are no words... When I read what you experienced, I closed my eyes and said a prayer of thanks that you are alive. What can I send? Money, food...? I can give you my email address so we can exchange contact information. Presently, I live an extremely downsized life by choice to accommodate recent life issues. However, I will share what I have. Just let me know if I can help. I am so sorry..... but grateful your life and home were spared. 😪💙💙

  • I'm glad you're okay. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️

Only you could write so beautifully about something so awful. Just glad you’re safe.

I echo Sarah’s comments, Lacy! I hope that you did not suffer major property damages. Your Haiku’s progression from the image of the storm tossing and the fragility of life to the return of life with the sun was very impressive and packed with feeling!

So powerful and uplifting in this difficult time. If this is based on personal experience, I’m so glad you’re safe and well!

Great haiku. If this is autobiographical, I’m glad you are safe. ❤️

Is this autobiographical? If it is, I'm so happy you are safe, Lacy. I saw pictures of the aftermath and Milton was not kind. Praying for you and all who were affected. 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽
