As a warrior, can any place you rest
Be your home? A rock, or sand hole,
Can they suffice, lest
You give up your only soul?
When tired, haggard, bloodied, messed
Up hair and drawn skin take their toll,
Can you find solace in your best
To discover your position and role?
When put to the test,
Can you in your spirit dole
Out strength, only fortunate not blessed;
Do you have control?
Once you have found that hill or crest,
It’s your house and home and goal.
To ensure your buddy be a guest
Makes you sure, complete, and whole.
