What was once my ocean is now my sky
the same day keeps on flying by, with the
same set of questions percolating my mind
but when I think of you a system
of blues span before my eyes
powder blue for how I fantasize of your smile
cerulean for the miles you’ve driven
cadet blue for the streak of competitiveness we share
lapis and azure for your undercover nature and
aegean for the seas we travel over while we’re asleep
steel blue for the arms you’ve built to wrap around us
I long for the night when my loop of memories
can continue to grow, to see
where my ocean blends into your sky,
When these thoughts percolating my mind
can be displayed on canvas, so you can
visualize the whispers of you I hear
on Sunday nights I’ve spent in desire.
