Summer in Western Ghats of India
Down the memory lane ...

A summer's day breeze gently flows; from west
Lush dense red canopy of the Gul Mohr
And yellow, orange of marigolds' crest,
Rose lily sage dill thyme; its nature's lore
Shrill and crisp Koo Kooo of the cuckoos
Tweets of blue, green, red birds, and orioles
Mangoes, jack fruits, watermelons, cashews
Renews enlivens body, mind, and souls
A swim in the sea, lake; flowing river
And slowly sip the tender coconut
Nothing makes us more alive and fresher
Knowing simple joys of life with eyes shut
Sweaty, sultry summer will be gone soon
Thunder clouds tout return of the Monsoon
