What If

Shades

What If

What if all people were to become color-blind?

For shades in between

Will we say less-white, or less-black?

Will we able to solve the Rubik’s cube?

Will the rainbow shades have a different meaning?

Will we take delight in the beauty of sunset

And appreciate the pastures

And the roses?

Will we again adore black and white movies

Or pine for colored ones?

Will we be afraid of the dark

Or scared of the white?

Will our lives be monotonous and dreary

Or chaotic but not so adventurous?

Will now black be equal to white?

Particularly will black lives matter more?

Alas, there are only questions

And doubts and fears

But no answers

Yet few things to ponder on.

But then, that day has not yet dawned

So for now let us exalt and revel in all the colors

Acknowledge and accept

That each is exceptional

And they complement each other

Make our lives abounding.
