Summer Day

Poem

By Elizabeth TownsendPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

There is no feeling like a warm summer breeze

Surrounded by your friends and family

On a hot summer day, there is nothing better

Then a cookout with your friends

With good food for all to enjoy

A gathering on a hot summer day

A pool is a great way to stay cool

There is no better way

To spend your time and have some fun

Then being surrounded by laughter

The laughter that is caused by a lab’s silly antics

And memories of silly things done

What better way to end a hot summer day

Then surrounded by your friends and family

Seeing the night sky reflect off the clear water

Admiring the bright flames of a midnight fire

A bonfire as tall as it can be

Roasting marshmallows and laughing the night away

Sharing our tall tales for all to hear

Remembering things from past times

Enjoying the cool night air of a summer day

There is no better way

To spend your time and have some fun

Then being surrounded by laughter

The laughter that is caused by a lab’s silly antics

And memories of silly things done
