Pictures Old and Warn

Poem

By Elizabeth TownsendPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

The ones we hold dear

We can feel your light

Though we can no longer see you

You are always there

Watching over us always

And guiding us along the way

Shielding us from harm

Until we can be reunited once again

Pictures old and worn

Show us the ones no longer here

They can never replace you

But they can last

Till we see you again

Our best friend

We mourn you always

It hurts every day

Because you are not here

We hold tight to our memories

Hoping to remember

All the good times

Though it gets harder

Pictures old and worn

Show us the ones no longer here

They can never replace you

But they can last

Till we see you again

heartbreak
