suicide prevention month

some reasons for ‘choosing’ life are never actually spoken about… because who is actually crazy enough to open up this Pandora’s Box?!

What keeps me from suicide

Is not hope, nor pride,

But the knowing that I already tried,

And died

.

I woke up in this here reality,

this endless hell, this purgatory

where everyday I pay the toll

for disconnecting from my soul

.

The pain is unbearable

the weight heavy upon my crown

but I won’t take the risk

of descending further down

.

so I ‘choose’ to remain

and each day do the work,

to suffer this karma

and try to level back up

.

we are trapped here together

stuck, perhaps forever,

sinners without enough joy or love,

to rise to a heaven high above

.

some of us are completely unaware,

stuck in our cycles creating more despair,

and running straight towards

death’s welcome stare

.

others are doing their absolute best

to crack the code

and pass the test,

desperate to be finally blessed

.

right or wrong,

none can say

but I know where my bets

are being placed today

.

I’ve witnessed miracles

Created by love

I’ve seen the evidence

To keep rising above

.

The path is lonely

And far from fun,

But the way I see it

It’s the only one

Yep. Just got to keep moving forward, wondering what it's all for, like a dark cave. Look for the glowworms on the roof, that's my advice.

To learn the lesson of this lifetime, look for the thing that repeats ♥ Can't do that if you're dead 🤔

Thanks for opening up and writing this. Very powerful. I can definitely relate. For me it was the feeling of what now. I lived so how do I go on when I was supposed to not be here anymore.

  • This was so relatable for me and I'm sure it would be for many others too. Loved your poem. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
