Should've Stayed Silent

She says something strange,

Something surreal,

She's seen sinister shadows,

Soon somebody states:

"She's sick, she'll suffer, she'll sabotage success, sedation should see she's surely safe."

Seeking some sanity

She's strongly suppressed,

Stolen, sedated, scarred, so she's stressed,

She stops saying statements,

She starts seeming sane,

Showing stability,

Surely sustained,

Soon she sees sunshine,

Showing signs she's survived,

Smiles still somehow seeming so strained,

Still something, somewhere secretly stored,

Silenced, shattered, she sings saddened songs,

Still sick, she sits suffering silently,

Soon she sees

She should've stayed silent,

Secrets she shan't share.

I love the rhythm of this - I can see it being a song.
