Storms; Clouds; Rain - My love Of
A short collection of poems
Silent Giants
The clouds hung low that day
weighted by humidity.
They filled the sky in various shades
of whites, blues and greys-
all as opaque as could be-
though wispy tendrils could be seen
trying to escape the heavy masses.
All seemed calm
yet a feeling of foreboding
emanated from these silent giants.
That Rain
That rain,
Which seeps through your clothes
and moistens your skin.
That rain,
which brings a chill to your bones
and creates waterfalls from your fingertips,
the one which makes your nose drip and soaks your lips
That rain.
The Sunny Side
The brightness and the lights
shun my soul,
disabling me
from feeling like myself
The sunshine, it mocks me
spreading across every surface
until shadows can no longer exist...
but without my shadows I am not whole.
New Rain
It has been raining for days.
Has Mother Nature finally heeded my call?
or is it that perhaps, like the rest of us,
she too has something to cry about?
