Stitches

Of Freedom, Healing and Love

By Lily SéjorPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

I entered this world, eager to leave

Until we collided

You caressed my name with your tongue

And stitched my heart to freedom

Twenty years

Of laughter, deaths and tragedy

Of homebuilding and certainty

Twenty more

My (minimum) wish

I’m slow and not quite done

Stitching yours just as free

love poems

About the Creator

Lily Séjor

Lily is really not the best at describing herself, so she'll put this down for now and circle back when (if) she's inspired. For now, she wants you to know that she's your verbose friend who rarely knows what to say.

How I've missed reading your writing, Lily! This has such a beautiful progression to it. It's hard to make so many pivots in so few words, but you make it look easy!

Powerful first line! The other that I marveled at the genius of was, "You caressed my name with your tongue," Brilliant writing focus.
