Still Yours in Another Life
A Soulmate Poem About Eternal Love Across Lifetimes

I saw you in a dream
long before I knew your name.
Your eyes weren’t the same color,
But the way they looked at me
unmistakable.
In this life,
We met by chance,
But something in me whispered,
You were never a stranger.
You knew how I liked my silence.
I knew how you held your grief.
It was as if
We’d been here
before.
And maybe we had.
Maybe we’ve walked this earth
in different skins,
under different skies,
But always, finding each other.
In another life,
We danced barefoot
In a field of stars.
In another life,
We built homes from laughter
and buried promises beneath trees
that never forgot us.
I remember flashing
your hand in mine during the war.
Your kiss in the rain
before a train
I never came back from.
Lifetimes blurred,
but always you.
They call it déjà vu,
But I call it
homecoming.
Because my soul knows yours
In a way my mind can’t explain.
And every time I lose you,
time conspires
to bring you back.
Maybe in the next life,
We’ll get it right.
No clocks ticking down,
no distance,
No goodbye.
Just us,
without endings,
without beginnings.
Until then,
love me in the echoes.
Meet me in the spaces
between now and forever.
And know this:
Even when we forget,
even when we’re reborn as strangers
I’ll still be yours,
In another life.
