Speak no evil

By Mark Stigers Published 7 months ago Updated 7 months ago 1 min read

Some words will hurt you

Like a jaw hit by a clinched hand

Others will insult your brain

By a name that you cannot stand

If you say the wrong thing

Someone will get upset

Certain words will disturb the peace

And if said will cause regret

Some get a mental sickness

And say things we deplore

Some cannot take what was said

And want to live no more

If I say something ‘bout your mother

Will you get really mad

Other words hit like fists

They leave you beaten and sad

Is a word just a word

Will outrage win the day

Or are there simply things

That you dare not say
