The Kiss of Light on the Water

A path to the sky

By Mark Stigers Published 7 months ago Updated 7 months ago 1 min read

If you have the gift of sight

Then you’ve seen light on the water

It causes me to stop and dream

As I pause to Loiter

The light ripples on the surface

It is a beautiful glimmer

How I love to see the sparkle

As I let the image in my mind simmer

The water catches the light

A liquid form of screen

My mind wonders to and fro

From the ever changing scene

I ask you here and now

is there not a better sight

Of the kiss of light on the water

It gives such a soothing delight

How I love to see it

A silver path into the sky

Upon which my mind can trek

And and my soul can fly
