Stealing Glances

a poem

By Aaron MorrisonPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

I was reading

You walked in

Our gazes grazed

Both whispered smiles

For two hours

We stole glances

Uncertain

If in mutual interest

Or you tipped ten cents

For the dime museum

And a visit to the odditorium

I see now

Eyes are not windows

They're mirrors

"Eyes are not windows, they are mirrors", your writing is quite crisp. I could steal a thing or two from you 😜
