Stars Shining Bright Above You
A poem on living dreams

Everyone's favorite theme park, Disneyland, opened this day in history in 1955, under the supervision of everyone's go-to animator, Walt. It isn't a major holiday, but it is an important day because it is a testament to our ability to realize our dreams.
Walt didn't start as the biggest animator in the business, being born to parents of modest means. His father, Elias, was a carpenter. His mother, Flora, was a schoolteacher. The family moved throughout America, seeking better opportunities.
But Walt's vision was a big one. He envisioned the Happiest Place on Earth, where children and adults could play. His dream started as a small theme park and burgeoned to include themed lands (Adventureland, Tomorrowland, etc).
A big vision for an ordinary man much like ourselves.
His vision bore fruit because he wished upon a star, and true to the song's lyrics, that made no difference, no matter who he was.
And our visions should bear fruit. That makes no difference who we are. Enjoy this Butterfly Cinquain.
Stars fly
Traversing space
Lighting impassioned souls
Making light out of the darkness
Lifting
When you
Wish upon the stars' guiding light
That cast bright rays of hope
Their brilliant rays
Show path.
