As you stare at the world,

You watch great sorrow unfurl.

You walk past strange faces,

the bright lights and wild cases.

You don't care you who cheat,

You cannot stand defeat.

You weren't really staring, you knew this for a fact.

You had your own issues, you had to hold yourself in tact.

Why should it matter what everyone around you felt?

Why should it bother you how someone's soul melt?

At the sight of you, everyone should bow.

You were a magnificence, rightfully sewn to the crown.

But wait and see how many people stare.

There wouldn't be any, they had gone elsewhere.

You're beginning to think I was right all along:

no one wants to hear a desperate love-only-me song.
