The color of some
Sunsets splash like drops
of paint that could numb.
The mind just soon stops.
The color of red
And yellow mixed to
Show a fruit, that’s said.
Creating the new.
By highlighting all
Rinds and citrus that’s
Out there to enthrall.
It’s found in the stats.
The glowing of lights
Burn with the knowledge
Of the hue that fights.
It’s used in college.
Princeton comes to mind.
Texas also. In
What we can just find
Is the red-gold win.
So what rhymes with orange?
Is it a real word?
Could it just be sporange?
Is it great when heard?

Chanda sent home money every two weeks. In a small village in India, she deposited money into the bank account of her aunt and uncle who sent her to live in America. The place seemed so remote, almost cut off from the rest of the country. There, a festival took place where participants hurled cow eliminations at each other. The muddy, mucky sense of it had been known for centuries. Locals tied it to an ancient god who they believed restored people’s health with the cow plops. During the festival, thick patties passed through the air and smushed into the bodies and faces of those rollicking around in the filth.

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.
