Speed of Seeds
A poem about the swiftness of growing vegetables.

Kale, lettuce, cauliflower and swiss chard.
Careful seed structure,
water, fresh dirt, no life signs
until sprouts break free.

Very effective haiku. The 'quick' poem invokes the 'quick' veggies. Apparently, the haiku format works even better in English than it does in Japanese.
