I was cooking spaghetti

Squash

In the summer

Scooping

Out the seeds

And the smell was

Like pumpkin

Another squash

I think

And the smell was

Like fall

Though the air

Was hot

And the fan

Was on

And for a moment

I was in between

Seasons

How can such a

Summery vegetable

-Fruit?

Smell so much

Like

Autumn?

Spaghetti squash is an edible squash whose cooked flesh has an appearance and texture like that of spaghetti. (Oxford languages) Squashes, including pumpkins, are considered fruit because they contain seeds and develop from the flower-producing part of the plant. (Healthline.com)
