Rejoice When He Reaches Out To You
Light does not erase the dark

Rejoice When He Reaches Out To You
Rejoice when he reaches out to you,
Even if his hands shake,
Grace is rarely confident,
It trembles when awake.
I mistook gentleness for weakness,
Until it held me still,
Spiritual truth arrives softly,
Then tests your will.
He touched the parts I hid best,
The wounds that learned to lie,
Love does not heal politely,
It asks you why.
Rejoice does not mean happiness,
It means survive the night,
It means choosing connection,
Over endless fight.
His reach carried history,
Scars layered on scars,
Faith stitched together slowly,
Under broken stars.
I learned that mercy costs something,
It always leaves a mark,
Light does not erase the dark,
It learns to walk it.
Rejoice when he reaches out to you,
Even when it hurts to breathe,
Love does not promise safety,
It promises to see.
That was enough for my spirit,
Enough to stay alive,
Being seen without condition,
Is how the broken survive.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
