Air. Water. Fire. Earth. All important elements that hold the world together, though it is not the only thing that they hold together. Looking at these elements from a different perspective, allowing you to rethink the basic thought.
Air moves around us, air moves through us. Though does it ever occur to the mind on why when we take sharp inhales when we are caught off guard by our significant others' kisses? Exhale deeply when we are held by the people we cherish the most? Think of how you feel in those moments in time, the emotion, the special event. Or is it because you feel safe, secure, protected with the person you are with.
Water covers the world, in beautiful forms. Babbling brooks, clear streams, breath-taking waterfalls. Water is also a part of us. When was the last time you walked down a trail and have the trail lead you to a beautiful babbling brook? Did you take the time to sit down and listen to the water running? Take in the beauty of the scenery around you? Or enjoy the moment with the one you adore.
Fire can destroy everything in its path, though it can be so beautiful. Watching the flames dance around as it lights a small area in the night, while roasting marshmallows. Ever thought of how a small fire becomes a huge ragging uncontrollable flame inside your heart? When you look into the eyes of someone's soul, seeing how much they are committed to your soul. Seeing the reflection of the flames of the fire in their soul, in their eyes.
Earth holds everything together, a person's inner flame is fueled by the breath of fresh air out in the open by a babbling brook. Everything is connected beyond what people think, take the time today to ground yourself with these soul elements. Whether it's going out on a long walk with the one cherish and love more than anyone else, finding a breathtaking view of an overlook while making a campfire for the night, listening to the crackling of the fire or the sound of a babbling brook. Enjoy every moment, every simple happy moment and hold on to that.
You have to disconnect to reconnect with yourself to reality, as humans we lost sight of that being consumed in technology. So much time lost with our loved ones, so much time that we will never get back. Go live life to your fullest ability, and remember every special moment.
