Sorry Mummy

Raw truth of an old apology

I am sorry Mummy for all the worry I have caused

The pain, the shame, the blame for which you have mourned

The drugs, fewer books, getting hooked and my bleeding mind

I fought, got caught, became distraught but missed the signs

I created and stated a belated promise that never came

But, with perseverance and endurance, these confusions won't be the same

Betting understanding, less demanding, more upright standing I am one

Because of you

I am sorry Mummy for all the worry I have caused

Never will I return, or make you hurt and kill your soul

Forever I am with you, forever true, forever clean

I am sorry Mummy for the pain I once caused

sad poetry
